Make your own pizza dough in 10 minutes, let it sit overnight and then create your pizza using your favorite toppings the next day.
The Dough
Ingredients:
- 6 cups Flour King Arthur, Pizza flour, or any bread flour measured
- 3 cups Water measured
- 2 teaspoons Salt measured
- 1 teaspoon Yeast - Active Dry measured
Directions:
Dough: Measure all ingredients into a very large bowl (glass, plastic or stainless steel). Mix well with spoon stirring 3-5 minutes total time. Dough will look scruffy, that is good. Cover with plastic wrap or foil to keep the heat and moisture inside the dough. Let sit on counter overnight or until ready to use next afternoon. Next Day: Dough will be pretty wet so need to put about 1 cup flour on counter surface - smooth it out so dough will soak up flour. Pour the dough in the center of the flour. Get the flour up and over the top of the dough so it is less sticky. Mix gently to shape the dough into one big flat dough shape. Cut into 4 sections - This will make 4 large pizzas. You can freeze dough at this point in small baggies and reuse later for up to 3 months. Once ready to make pizza, use sheet of parchment paper on counter and place flat pizza dough on top. Next add toppings.
