Classic Danish Smørrebrød

Classic Danish Smørrebrød are delightful Scandinavian open faced sandwiches which have been a tradition at home and for holidays. Starting with a base of rugbørd and building many delicious options. We will be serving our favorite roast beef with shaved horseradish.

Ingredients:
  • 1 slice Rugbrød thinly sliced
  • 1/8 pound Roast Beef thinly sliced
  • 1/2 teaspoon Butter
  • 4 each Cornichons thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon Radish Sprouts
  • 1 teaspoon Horseradish shaved
  • 1 teaspoon Horseradish Cream
Directions:
Cut rye bread into 3 by 5 inch rectangle.
Spread a thin layer of butter evenly on top of slice.
Arrange roast beef on butter, covering surface evenly. Sprinkle cornichons and radish sprouts on top. Finish with a dollop of horseradish in the center.
