This rustic Italian beef and pork meat tomato sauce is tender and flavorful. A generous potion for 6 to 8 guests, just like Nonna used to make.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup Good Quality Olive Oil
- 2 Yellow Onions diced
- 1 bunch Celery diced
- 4 Carrots diced
- 4 cloves Garlic chopped
- 1/2 pound Ground Beef
- 1/2 pound Ground Pork
- 1 quart San Marzano Tomato Sauce
- 1 pinch Red Pepper Flakes
- Salt
- Freshly Cracked Black Pepper
- Dry Pasta
Directions:
1: Chop the onion, celery, carrots, and sauté with olive oil using medium heat. Once the onions turn translucent, add the garlic. 2: Add salt and pepper as desired. 3: Break up ground beef and pork add proportionally cook until brown well. 4: Add your San Marzano tomatoes and a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce. Bring to a boil and then reduce to a low simmer for 45 minutes to 1 hour, stirring occasionally. 5: Prepare 10 oz of dry pasta per guest. Cook per package instructions. 6: Serve Bolognese sauce over pasta.
