Pulled Pork Recipe
Ingredients:
- 4 pounds Pork Shoulder (often called pork butt) whole
- 3 tablespoons dark brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 2 teaspoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 12 ounce can of beer
- 16-24 Slider Buns
- 1 bottle Your favorite BBQ Sauce
Directions:
Instructions: 1. Prepare the inside of a 6 quart crock pot with a cooking spray 2. Combine the dark brown sugar, salt, paprika, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, cayenne pepper, and pepper 3. Rub the spice mix all over the pork shoulder before placing in the crockpot 4. Pour the 1/2 to 1 canbeer around the pork shoulder, cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or high for 5-6 hours. 5. Remove the pork shoulder from the crockpot and allow it to rest for a few minutes. Then shred the pork with 2 forks. Reserve some the juices to mix with the pork and the BBQ sauce. 8. Split the slider buns, add the pork, garnish with your favorite BBQ sauce if you like and you can top with a little coleslaw. 9. Serve immediately and enjoy! 10. You will have plenty of leftovers!
Coleslaw
Ingredients:
- 8 cups Green Cabbage Chopped
- 1 cup carrots shredded
- 1 cup red onions chopped
- 1/2 cup Bell Peppers (red or green) (optional) chopped
Directions:
Mix the salad ingregients together.
Dressing
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup mayonaise
- 2 tablespoons white sugar
- 1 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon white wine vinegar or apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper ground
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Directions:
Whisk mayonnaise, sugar, lemon juice, vinegar salt and pepperand together in a bowl until smooth and creamy. Store in an airtight container. Pour over the coleslaw mix above and toss. Store in the Refrigerator.
