Elevate a simple grilled cheese sandwich with creamy Brie cheese and decadent black truffle. The full fruit flavor and rich texture of Chalk Hill Estate Chardonnay is the perfect pairing for this buttery treat!

Sandwich Assembly

Ingredients:
  • 4 ounces (1 wheel) Marin French Cheese Company Petite Breakfast, at room temperature
  • 4 thin slices brioche
  • 4 tablespoons black truffle butter

Directions:

Heat a flat pan or griddle over medium heat. Spread half of the cheese between 2 of the bread slices. Brush the outside of the sandwich with 1 tablespoon of the truffle butter and place, buttered side down, on the griddle. Brush the top of the sandwich with 1 tablespoon of the butter. Cook until the underside of the sandwich is golden brown, about 5 minutes. Turn the sandwich over and cook until golden brown on the other side. Transfer to a cutting board and let cool before slicing and serving.

Repeat with the remaining cheese, bread and butter to make a second sandwich.

NOTE: Marin French Cheese Company Petite Breakfast is a locally produced fresh Brie with a tangy flavor and a slightly spongy texture. If unavailable, your favorite creamy Brie or Camembert cheese can be an appropriate substitute. Black truffle butter can be found in most grocery stores or online.
