Wilson Winery's Famous Marinated Tri-Tip

This recipe is steeped in family tradition and winery history. Wilson’s World-Famous Tri-Tip has been a favorite since we opened our doors. Diane is the creator of this mouthwatering culinary delight. As Diane recalls, “Right from our first event in 1998, friends who celebrated with us at our barbecues told us how much they loved the tender wine-infused meat and sauce."
- 2 cups soy sauce
- 1/2 cup Cabernet Sauvignon
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 teaspoons freshly ground pepper
- 3 pounds tri-tip
In a medium bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, wine, garlic and pepper. Place the tri-tip in a large baking dish or bowl and pour the marinade over the meat. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Prepare a fire in a grill. Remove the tri-tip from the marinade and grill until medium-rare. Thinly slice the meat across the grain and serve with Wilson wine.
