Swiss Eggs

Rich with cream and cheese, these eggs are served in individual ramekins and are great for a weekend brunch.

Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons white wine
  • Dash of freshly grated nutmeg
  • 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
  • 6 eggs

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 325°F. 

In a bowl, using a whisk, beat the cream until slightly thickened, about 1 minute. Add the wine and nutmeg and stir until well combined. 

Spray six 6-ounce ramekins with nonstick cooking spray. Spoon 1 tablespoon whipped cream onto the bottom of each ramekin. Sprinkle a thin layer of cheese over the cream. Crack 1 egg into each ramekin, then add another layer of whipped cream and another layer of cheese.

Bake until the yolks are set to your liking, 12 to 18 minutes.
